Hi, I'm Mira Delo!
I’m a French illustrator and graphic designer based in Perth, Australia, with a background in video editing in the animation industry.
I moved to Perth from France in 2022 and graduated with a Master of Arts at Curtin University in 2024.
While I was born in the cultural hub of Paris, I spent most of my childhood in the French countryside, growing up near the Loire river, with lush pastures and old farms, before returning to Paris to pursue higher studies.
Growing up between these two very different worlds played a big part in shaping my identity both as a person and as an artist: the countryside taught me the hidden joys of boredom and slowness through imagination and play. While Paris brought dynamic culture, diversity and  stimulation.
Today, my work includes commissioned illustration, publishing and visual identity. It revolves around themes such as human connection, identity, language, culture, play and education.
I draw to create momentary fragments of truth in our ever-changing world and to connect with life, people and the small experiences that bring us together.
Outside of art, I’m often reading sociology essays or comics, listening to or playing music, daydreaming by a window, hiking, playing board games or spending time at the gym.
