I developed Sept Jours from concept to completion, co-writing the story, creating the character designs, environments, illustrations and assets for the book. The book is divided into seven chapters, each corresponding to a day of the week, and contains 66 illustrated pages. Design and illustrations were produced using InDesign, Procreate, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
This French-themed storybook was designed as a resource for teaching French as a second language to beginners. I collaborated with editors and writers to ensure the book was accessible and aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
This project was developed during my internship at R.I.C. Publications.
Story
Sept Jours follows Sasha and Alex, two French children living in a suburb south of Paris. One day, while spending time at the park, they meet Oscar, a British ferret who works as a journalist for a newspaper.
Oscar has a problem: he must write an article about France in only seven days. Sasha and Alex offer to help Oscar, and together they spend a week discovering French culture, places and traditions.
